The conference is sponsored by the Utah State Office of Education and the Utah Personnel Development Center, and will take place Friday and Saturday, November 8 & 9 at the Provo Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Provo, Utah.
The conference welcomes all paraeducators, their supervising teachers and administrators from preschool to high school in all of Utah's school districts and charter schools.
Events begin late Friday afternoon with three Early Bird Sessions that will target: Bullying, High Functioning Autism and Asperger Syndrome, and Supporting Homeless Students in the Classroom. Over 20 workshops will be offered throughout the day on Saturday. Some topics will include Effective Management Strategies, Teaming with Teachers, Small Group Instruction, Reading, Writing, Effective Math Strategies, Pre-Literacy, Transition, Paraeducator to Teacher Pathways, and Proactive Behavior Strategies in Severe Classrooms.

AWARDS: An important part of the conference is the recognition of the outstanding paraeducators who are chosen from nominations by all of the school districts and charter schools. Those chosen as outstanding paraeducators will be honored on Friday evening.
